I had 4 employees to embezzel over $100,000 from my business. They had access to the sofware that produced commission checks. These employees tricked the software into producing themselves a check even when they were not due a check. One of the employees signed a confession. One of the employees has a stepfather that is an FBI agent. We gave the dectective the complaint and he didn't do anything for 6 months saying that he didn't think that the DA would accept the case because there was an indictment against me. The dectective finally sent the report to the DA and the DA said that he was not going to prosecute because it was imposible to determine who tricked the software into generating these checks eventhough all activities into the system is tracked by the employee's password. Shouldn't they at lease be prosecuted for criminal conspiracy or theft by deception if they cashed the checks? What can I do to force the DA into prosecuting? Can I file a complaint with the USJD

ACCEPTED Check Mark

You can not force the DA to prosecute any case. You can sue them civily on your own for the theft but that is it.
